Bookkeeper
Permanent, 1 day per week.

£12 per hour

7 hours per week.

Newcastle Vision Support is seeking a part-time bookkeeper to carry out a range of finance tasks from their office in Newcastle.

Newcastle Vision Support is a small, independent, local charity based in Newcastle who have been supporting people with visual impairments for over 155 years.

Duties will include:

• Management of accounts payable and receivable, using Sage accounting package.
• Processing of staff expenses.
• Managing banking and petty cash.
• Production of regular and ad-hoc finance reports and budgets.
• Monitoring of bank accounts and cash flow.
• Processing of pension contributions and Gift Aid claims.

Bookkeeping experience is desired however, you will be provided with some formal training in double-entry bookkeeping and training in using an accounting package (Sage).

• IT proficient.
• Good standard of numeracy.
• Methodical approach to working.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

• Experience of using an accounting package, ideally Sage.
