Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are Yahire, one of the biggest and fastest growing furniture & catering hire companies in London. Founded in 2011 we have rapidly expanded our business from a new start up with just a handful of chairs, to its current state of one of the biggest suppliers in London. We deliver to some very high-profile clients including some of London’s most famous venues and prestigious events in the country.

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Controller to keep order and efficiency within the Transport Department across the 7 days we are open

The role is a hands-on role with these core duties

• Supervisor to 20-30 Transport staff
• Ensuring on time in full
• Fleet Management (14x vehicles HGV's and Vans)
• Route planning
• Driver hours management and tacho downloads
• Liaising with Warehouse, Sales and Customer service departments

About you:

We are looking for a dynamic and organised person with a passion for vehicles and route planning.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will oversee a wide range of responsibilities sometimes covering duties outside of the Transport Department,

You will have:

- Full UK Drivers Licence (Essential)

-H&S experience (Essential)

-Comfortable with physical labour– (Essential)

-Class 2 driver licence & CPC (desired)

- Events or furniture delivery experience – Desired

The successful candidate would be due to start immediately. A full induction and training on all relevant processes and software that we operate with will be provided.

Once fully trained you will be expected to be a crucial part of our operations team ensuring our customers have their orders delivered on time one way or another. Working together with all other departments and building relationships with colleagues and suppliers essential.

Though we are fun young company to work for, it can be high pressure, with weekend work and physical labour essential throughout the year so this job is really for those who want to make a career of it within our sector and is not for everyone.

Salary: £31,000.00-£38,500.00 per year
