PHP Laravel Developer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We're looking for passionate developers to join the team behind an exciting cloud-based business platform, Proteus (xergy.com/proteus).

Our headquarters are in Aberdeen city centre, but we are also happy to offer the role with an element of remote-working ongoing. Due to funding criteria, we require each team member to be based in Scotland.

About the role

You will play a key role in bringing our innovative cloud-based platform to life. You’ll work closely with our talented development team to architect and build server-side APIs and business logic.

You will work on a series of innovative and exciting research and development projects, you’ll be expected to learn new skills and push yourself and the team to overcome complex challenges.

Requirements:

• A portfolio of completed projects that demonstrate your expertise in complex Laravel web applications
• Knowledge of the PHP ecosystem, tools and frameworks
• A passion for creating structured, organised code

While not essential, the ideal candidate will also have:

• Experience building and maintaining a web application stack with Amazon Web Services
• Experience writing and maintaining PHP unit tests
• Expertiese in DevOps principles and CI/CD processes
• Experience or desire to learn React (TypeScript)

Xergy is a technology start-up founded in 2018 with offices in Aberdeen and Dubai. Xergy secured approximately £4.25 million from private investors to bring its innovative cloud-based business operation system (Proteus) to market.

Proteus is a cloud-based operating system that can transform the way in which businesses source and use talent to resource and deliver projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
