Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Bedford Estates, Bloomsbury Ltd, is custodian to some of the most historic green spaces in Bloomsbury; including Bedford Square Garden and Montague Street Garden and we are seeking an Assistant Gardener.

This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable Assistant Gardener to join our dedicated team; who will work with us to continue our journey to conserve our gardens heritage and give pleasure to our visitors and residents throughout the year.

Reporting to the Head Gardener, you will assist with the day to day upkeep of the Georgian Garden Squares along with commercial, residential and pavement-side gardens.

The Assistant Gardener will be a hard working and enthusiastic individual who personally aims for excellence. As a motivated self starter you will have excellent communication skills; previous experience of maintaining public and private gardens to a high standard and will be comfortable with lone working.

A recognised horticultural qualification is preferred.
Applicants must hold a full valid driving licence.

The role is a full time, permanent position.
