Role Overview & Responsibilities
Wise May are looking for motivated individual with strong Administration skills to join an insurance company within the city as a Underwriting Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the underwriting of the Legal Indemnity Business. They will also be supporting the team generally through the the supply of high level administrative support to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain the 'enquiries' inbox as a priority, regularly reviewing all emails and dealing, or redirecting as appropriate.
- Maintain the underwriting database by; setting up new enquiries, endorsements, and new clients onto the system and ensuring the creation of paper files.
- Provide general assistance to the Underwriters, such as; undertaking research as instructed, undertake case analysis for specific cases.
- Assist the Underwriters with client generation and client relationship management.
- Issue certified copy policies and undertake any pre-underwriting of legal indemnities, within own knowledge.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Essential Experience:
- Experience of working within a busy sales-focussed environment.
Hybrid - 3 days in the office
