Role Overview & Responsibilities

Whitakers Garden Centre are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Plant Nursery Assistant. As a Plant Nursery Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring that our plants are healthy and our customers are satisfied.

Pay: £10.42 per hour

Hours: Monday & Thursday 09:00 – 17:30 alternative weekends

Location: Prescot, Liverpool (L34)

Main Duties:

• Assist with the care and maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilising, pruning and repotting
• Help with plant propagation, including seeding and division
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking plants/supplies
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and assisting customers with their purchases
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a plant nursery or related field experience
• Knowledge of plant care and maintenance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
