Carer / Personal Assistant – Sankey, Warrington, MK/09/EG

Role Overview & Responsibilities

• £12.50 per hour working with a male client
• 16hrs per week
• Shifts are; Saturdays 8am – 4pm & Sundays 8am – 4pm
• PA / Carer required to assist with double up (2:1) care

We require caring and enthusiastic individuals to assist a disabled gentleman to live independently at home, for 32 hours per week.

The client lives with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy and a severe Learning Disability, and uses a wheelchair to move around both inside and outside the home. He loves to listen to music of all kinds, watch bands, and enjoys going to the theatre and cinema. He loves being around others, and is a real ‘people person’!

This is an excellent opportunity to work in care/healthcare and to have an enjoyable, worthwhile job that gives back. The client lives with his Mum and Dad at home in Great Sankey/Barrow Hall, WA5. He is supported throughout the day by his family, agency carers, and a friendly, supportive team of PA carers.

The role will include; personal care, PEG/Jejunostomy support, moving and handling, continence care, oral suction (as required), administration of medications (via PEG), skincare, assistance to access activities in the community, befriending, and supporting the client during any travel (as required).

Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check, paid for by employer.

PLEASE NOTE: This role cannot assist with visa applications or sponsorship.

Shifts are;

• Saturdays: 8am – 4pm
• Sundays: 8am – 4pm

Hourly pay rate is £11.50 per hour.
