Database Assistant (PeatDataHub)
Are you an ambitious Database Assistant looking for your next challenge? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?
The role of the database assistant is to enter, format, upload and provide 1st and 2nd level data quality control of peatland hydrological and other relevant data into PeatDataHub (a web based application for peatland monitoring management).
You will provide first line data management support and user support for the PeatDataHub members and projects including WaterLANDS.
You should have previous experience of data entry, formatting and data quality control using Excel and interest in applications for ecological data management. You will be a highly organized and self-motivated individual with good communication, interpersonal and time management skills. Demonstrable attention to detail is essential.
Prior experience working with large ecological or geographical datasets and some knowledge of peatlands is essential.
