Role Overview & Responsibilities

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 1 December 2025 in the first instance.

If you are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic, motivated and fun team and help support a world-leading University as it moves into a more innovative future, this could be the role for you.

The University of Cambridge is updating the way it delivers core systems and processes, and it has established a new Change and Programme Management Office (CPMO) to help realise this vision. The team needs a new Office Coordinator to help manage its day-to-day activities and help keep things on track. This is a new role on a new and energetic team, working with professional and academic staff across all functions and in all levels at the University to deliver major transformative opportunities to support staff, students and ultimately our societal mission.

The Office Coordinator will directly report to the PMO Programme Manager, and they will support a team of approximately 20 people delivering multiple and diverse programmes of work. They will respond to and anticipate needs and make sure the office runs smoothly. As this is a new role (tasks have been handled by multiple people to this point), the role holder will also help to establish appropriate and sustainable processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities of the role include: - Managing the day-to-day running of the CPMO, including the budget - Ensuring compliance with University financial procedures and regulations - Managing the administration of HR-related activities - Managing the use of office space, equipment and consumables - Overseeing health and safety in the office - Managing and organising meetings and acting as Professional Assistant to senior members of the department - Managing administration projects

If you are an experienced office coordinator eager to apply your skills in a new team and contribute to an organisation in ways that will last for many years to come, we'd like to hear from you!

Interviews will be held on 27 Mar 2023.
