Role Overview & Responsibilities

POSITION TITLE: Education Administrator (ROC College)

LOCATION: Totnes, Devon

FUNCTION: ROC College

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Area Administrator – Education

ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Education administration within ROC College

HOURS: 35 hours per week

HOURLY RATE: £11.52

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Staff and students:

  • To coordinate, organise and relevant information with regards to Social Crashes and Activities Week.
  • To order teaching and learning resources and ensure they are delivered accordingly.

Online resources and services:

  • To create and monitor BKSB and/or other online Initial Assessment tool accounts across the college.
  • To create and monitor Smart Screen and/or other teaching and learning accounts across the college.
  • To create Databridge accounts across the college.
  • To create rolling rotas for all staff across the college onto the MIS

Records:

  • To hold a central full staff list for the college and to update accordingly. To ensure that new staff are added to correct email list group (Devon or Cornwall).
  • To hold a central log of allocated tablets, laptops and mobile phones across the college.
  • To hold a staff training log ensuring all staff are up to date with mandatory training

Exams:

  • To hold responsibility for the postage of achieved qualifications certificates and congratulations letters across the college.
  • Personally issue exam papers to invigilators in the absence of the Exams & Records officer
  • Act as an invigilator when required
  • Act as a scribe for examinations if required

General administrative duties:

  • To communicate with key stakeholders via letter or email as requested.
  • To answer telephone calls at your office base and manage messages accordingly.
  • To complete and set up ‘New Suppliers’ across the college and to share with Accounts Payable.
  • To ensure that the term dates are updated annually on the ROC College website.
  • To act as note taker as requested by management and as agreed with Office Manager
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility
