Role Overview & Responsibilities

The House Outfit is a dynamic and fast-growing independent business, we are an online retailer specialising in wall art & home accessories. At the hub of our business, we have a small team based in our Newcastle warehouse who pack and fulfil customer orders and we now have a vacancy available for a picker-packer to join our team.

The role is a permanent contract of 15 hours a week, you must be able to work 09:30 - 16:30. All hours will be during Monday - Friday, there is no weekend working.

You will need a good eye for detail as a crucial part of the role is picking orders accurately and eliminating errors prior to packaging orders. This is an active role in a fast-paced environment and will also require occasional manual heavy lifting of packages.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Printing, picking and packaging of delicate wall art & fragile home accessories to fulfil customer orders
• Ensuring orders are packaged securely for safe transit and to minimise potential damage
• Process all shipping labels and prepare packages for handover to courier at end of the day
• Maintenance of a safe and tidy packing environment and maintenance of stocks of all packaging materials
• Assisting with stock replenishment & stock control
• Accepting and unloading deliveries and returns
