Role Overview & Responsibilities

Position

About the role:

Reporting to the Lead Warehouseman this role will work as part of the Warehouse Team ensuring delivery of the operational plan, achieving targets set for new fillings and mature spirit whilst ensuring all work is carried out in line with H&S and HMRC regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of wood for filling
  • Filling new make spirit into casks
  • Stowing casks in warehouses
  • Sourcing and removal of mature casks for disgorging
  • Loading tankers and CLV transport for dispatch
  • Willingness to learn new systems
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Cask preparation prior to filling
  • Filling of casks and tankers
  • Disgorging casks for whisky dispatch & filling
  • Stowing & removing casks in dunnage, racked & palletisation
  • Maintain accurate records of all cask movements
  • Operation of bar code reader gun
  • Quality checks of empty casks and mature whisky
  • Participate in stock checks
  • Comply with procedures to ensure accurate stock checks
  • Ensure that warehouses, canteen, and grounds are kept clean and tidy
  • Ensure compliance with all H&S, COMAH, HMRC, and environmental standards
  • Ensure all areas are secured at the end of work session
