Workroom Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Due to continued growth we are seeking a workroom assistant to join our growing team of soft furnishers at our workroom set in the beautiful Granary on the Berkeley Castle Estate.

The successful candidate will assist in daily tasks such as :

• Cutting and joining linings
• Working in the workshop to prepare tracks and pelmets
• General maintenance of the workroom
• Measure blind linings
• Ironing and packing finished products
• Assisting with dressing and hanging curtains

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to jump from one task to another. We are looking for a fast learning team player, who is able to follow instructions and has strong attention to detail. No previous curtain making experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

An ambitious individual would be ideal as there is opportunity to grow within the team. We found in the past that people with a background in industries such as hospitality (front of house and kitchen) often thrive in our workroom and so we welcome applicants who believe they have transferable skills.

We work sociable hours and this role will be full time, Monday to Friday from 9 am till 5 pm. If shortlisted you will be invited for a 30-minute interview at our workroom.

Salary: £10.42 per hour
