Role: Graduate Pricing Analyst

Salary: Up to £30,000

Location: Hybrid – Basingstoke two days a week

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

This is the job

We’re looking for a recent graduate that has completed a degree with a 2.1 or above in Mathematics, Actuarial or Statistical content to join the team as a Pricing Analyst, assisting with all pricing analysis activities in our retail pricing team for motor and home insurance.

What will I be doing?

  • Supporting the development and implementation of pricing strategies that increase value by optimising acquisition and retention for the AA Insurance business
  • Providing support in multiple areas for the build and maintenance our pricing models
  • Undertaking competitor analysis as required, allowing for past market trends, and modelling future scenarios
  • Producing analysis on a range of key performance indicators to improve our commercial performance
  • Learning about the UK personal lines insurance business, about pricing models, conduct and disciplines
  • Studying for an actuarial qualification – funded by the AA – should you wish to

What do I need?

  • To be focused and action-oriented
  • Not afraid of trying new ideas
  • Experience of using and writing/running code scripts in SAS or SQL
  • The ability to communicate sometimes complex concepts in a clear manner
  • An understanding of multi-variate analytical techniques
  • The ability to propose and implement change
  • Evidence of undertaking complex statistical analysis in your degree
