Workroom Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual to join our small team to manufacture made-to-measure window blinds and assist in the running of our Forfar showroom.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

- Making made-to-measure vertical and roller blinds and using cutting machines, tables and sewing machines

- Assisting with inbound enquiries via telephone & email

- Welcoming and assisting “walk-in” customers within our showroom

- Ensuring all blinds are made to exact sizes and specifications

- Packing blinds ready for collection by courier or by our installers

- Ensuring orders are being completed within the required time frame through liaison with our showroom and installation staff

- Ensuring workshop is kept tidy and organised

The Person:

We are looking for a confident and motivated multi-tasker who can work well under pressure and comfortable working under their own supervision.

- A team player, happy to pitch in

- Positive and can-do attitude

- Having extremely high customer service and communication skills

- Excellent written and spoken English language skills

- Ability to problem solve and work under pressure

- Flexible approach, with a strong work ethic

- Working with bespoke made-to-measure products, an eye for detail and accuracy is required

- Experience making window blinds/soft furnishings is an advantage - however full training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: From £9.85 per hour
