Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Mill Hotel, Sudbury are looking for a Receptionist to join their front desk team.

Set on the stunning Sudbury water meadows The Mill Hotel has several choices of where to eat- including the restaurant, terraces, bar and event space. The active water wheel in bar and restaurant areas creates a calming atmosphere, coupled with fantastic food and great service this all delights hotel residents and local guests alike.

We’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach, can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, carry out instructions, be able to pay close attention to detail and a desire to provide exceptional customer service. Someone who sells a smile everyday no matter what.

To succeed within the role you must have previous experience of working within a hotel reception and knowledge of hotel reservations systems. You should also have good sales ability, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• taking reservations,
• dealing with guests’ enquiries and assistance,
• check-ins and check-outs,
• taking payments,
• answering calls and emails and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £7.55-£10.50 per hour
