Graduate Trainee - Renewable Energy

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Spirit Solar Ltd is a renewable energy company based in Reading. We install on-grid and off-grid solar PV systems, battery storage systems and EV charging systems in residential and commercial buildings.

We have a vacancy for a bright articulate graduate to join our system design, quotations and technical sales team.

The job consists of:

• designing and specifying solar PV, battery and LED lighting systems;
• preparing quotations, drawings and performance estimates;
• project managing servicing and maintenance contracts and smaller installation contracts;
• talking to customers on the telephone to discuss existing and potential projects and to provide information about our products;
• (once experienced), visiting domestic customers to finalise contract details before sale.

Ideally you should be a graduate with a minimum 2.1 degree with a scientific, engineering or mathematical bias, able to demonstrate numeracy and a high level of attention to detail.

You should be able to write clearly and concisely. In addition you must be presentable and articulate with a cheerful disposition and a confident telephone and in person manner.

You don't need to know anything about the systems yet - we will train you. You do need to be able to drive once trained and able to visit customers.

You must also be hard working and efficient, and have the ability to grasp a reasonable level of technical information.
