Multi Skilled Operative

RNAS Yeovilton

Permanent/Full Time

£27,000-£30,000

I am working with a reputable contractor to recruit a Multi Skilled Operative to undertake preventative and reactive emergency and routine maintenance repairs to a variety of building fabric services on MOD buildings at RNAS Yeovilton.

Key accountabilities:

Undertake fault finding, investigation and reactive repairs to a variety of different types of building fabric services and building types including – wall surface repairs, decorating, replacing door furniture, lock replacements, floor repairs, basic carpentry, roof repairs, gutter cleaning, basic plumbing and brickwork.

Suitable candidates:

• Demonstratable practical experience in building fabric services in commercial and industrial environments
• A good understanding of all trades
• Ability to work as part of a team, providing face to face support and advice to customers across the business
• Trade background & qualifications (recognised qualification or apprenticeship)
• Experience working in a security sensitive environment or previously SC clearance is preferred
• Experience of Asbestos at Work Act, DDA, Legionalla and COSHH – Desirable
