Kennel Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Assisting with the care and exercise of dogs staying in our kennels. This will include walking, feeding etc. as well as cleaning and general maintenance of the kennels. Dealing with owners during pick up and drop offs.

Applicants must have a love for all dogs and be capable at handling all different breeds and temperaments. They should be trustworthy and reliable. Able to work to a time schedule and show common sense.

Experience with dogs would be a bonus but all training will be provided.

We are looking for 2 people for this role to cover the following shifts on a rota basis, one at around 20-25hours a week and one around 12-16hours a week.

Mon - All day, Tues - Afternoon, Wednesday - Afternoon, Thursday - Afternoon, Friday - All day, Weekends - All day both days on a 1 weekend on, 1 weekend off basis. For all day shift- start time is usually around 10am and finish around 5.30pm with an hour for lunch, Afternoon shifts usually start around 2pm and finish around 5.30pm. However hours do vary depending on how busy we are and hold ups do sometimes happen so applicants should be flexible as well as available to work extra hours for holiday cover.

Salary: £7.00-£9.50 per hour
