Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist

Summary

The Purchasing & Quality Assurance Specialist oversees the Global supply chain and manufacturing purchasing, of raw materials, packaging, supplies & equipment parts, strategic sourcing, negotiating pricing, contracts & terms and quality control and assurance.

• Plan and achieve strategic sourcing goals.
• Manage material planning and procurements by ensuring that materials are properly ordered, processed, and delivered on time.
• Conduct material pricing research amongst vendors and negotiate terms considering lead-times, operational capacity, delivery, and payment terms.
• validate and manage all ocean / air freights, import documents, U.S. custom, brokers including tariff accuracy.
• This position will be responsible for overseeing the entire cycle of the purchase order,
• Track and resolve production material shortages.
• Maintain updated records of purchase orders, receipt of delivery, purchase order invoices, and shipping fees.
• Make sure the company is in compliance on all aspects of Quality Assurance to keep our certification intact.
• Make sure the quality control of the product is to our specs.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge using Database ERP systems such as Macola
• Professional communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to analyze and interpret Data
• Ability to manage and meet deadlines

Education/Experience preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree or some college degree plus work experience
• 2+ years in a purchasing or business-related environment
• Knowledge in Quality control and assurance

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
