Field Engineer

Calling all Field Engineers!

WRc, part of RSK Group, is searching for a Field Engineer to join our team in Swindon on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small team, assisting in carrying out our pipeline inspection surveys. You will get the opportunity to learn how to use cutting-edge pipeline survey technologies and techniques while working across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake in-pipe inspections across the UK and further afield to deliver essential leakage data to end clients

Person Specification

Essential

• Able to drive a 3.5-tonne long wheelbase van into City Centre locations, or off-road (full clean UK driving licence)
• The desire to work outdoors in all weather
• Good level of fitness to cope with a physically demanding job
• Happy to work away occasionally for periods of time
• The ability to cover night work/weekend work
• Experienced with the use of computers (including Access, Excel and Email)
• Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade 4 / C and above (or equivalent)

Desirable

• Exposure to the utilities industry (water / sewerage / gas) and pipeline inspection technologies
• An understanding of simple electronics and/or hydraulic systems

Salary and Benefits

• £23,000 per annum + overtime
