Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Urgent Treatment Centre is a progressive unit that provides care to a wide range of patients presenting with minor injuries and illness to seriously unwell patients. The unit is committed to providing both excellence in the services it provide and the support given to staff to develop their skills and expertise to meet the needs of these patients.
We are looking for a qualified nurse who has substantial experience of working in an acute setting and would like to develop urgent care skills across a wide range of conditions including care of the seriously unwell patient.
The unit is keen to develop all nursing staff to the maximum potential and you will have the opportunity to obtain the Minor Injury Course (pending availability) after a period of development and will then be able to see and treat minor injuries autonomously using evidence based protocols.
We are seeking applications from nurses who have the ability and determination to learn and to gain new skills and competencies and who are motivated to develop the highest standards of care and who are committed to continuous improvement.
Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of clinical standards. You must be able to work on your own initiative and also be an excellent team player whilst being prepared to develop as an individual and support others to develop.
Full and part time hours available.
