Live-in Supervisor
£25,000 per annum
White Swan, Arundel, West Sussex
Full-time, permanent – 48 hours per week
Live-in accommodation.

The White Swan, Arundel, is a friendly, cosy inn with 20 guest bedrooms, offering great quality British pub food in their own unique way. The White Swan boasts a famous Sunday carvery and has the pleasure of hosting many weddings and other events throughout the year.

As a member of the team, the Live-In Supervisor will be making sure every customer has a great experience from the moment they arrive, to when they leave. Supervising other team members to promote a positive image of the property to guests at all times.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring standards of service and hygiene in the restaurant and bar are in accordance with company standards.
• Actively promote a positive health & safety culture at work.
• Lead the team by example at all times.
• Supervise and take part in restaurant, bar and events service.
• Maintain and monitor a high level of cleanliness in all areas of your responsibility.
• Assist guests with all their requirements, problems and difficulties.
• Receive and check deliveries to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with managing stock control levels.
• Duty Manager as and when required.
• Overnight responsibility for the building and late arriving guests.
• Duties outside your job description as deemed appropriate by your manager.
• You will be required to acquire excellent product knowledge and awareness of the local area and its attractions.

Required skills, experience and personal qualities:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hospitality is essential, preferably in a hotel setting.
• You are highly organised, with the ability to prioritise paramount.
• You must be adept at problem solving, with thinking on your feet second nature.
• You have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You should have a great can-do attitude.
• You are always punctual and smart.
• You should always want to bring out the best in your team, caring about the impact your work has on others.
• You are always customer focused.
• You treat everyone the way you would want to be treated.
