Role Overview & Responsibilities

Architectural Technician, Creaton, Northamptonshire

An excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technician to join our expanding and close-knit team has arisen! We currently have an increase in our technical design projects, requiring technical support for producing housetype working drawings for both housing developers and more bespoke projects.

There will also be the opportunity to use your skills when the need arises to design housing schemes for residential planning applications for both large and small projects. This may include both housetype and layout design, depending on the candidate.

In order to be considered for this position we would request the candidates have the following experience:

• A minimum of 5+ years in the Design & Construction industry.
• AutoCAD & technical knowledge is essential, as you will be delivering technical projects from day one.
• Photoshop and Indesign experience an advantage though not essential.
• A background in residential development is preferred, though not essential. Your portfolio will demonstrate your ability to deliver a variety of projects at detailed design stage to project completion.
• Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and graphical)

You may be part way to gaining your professional qualification having had prior practice experience, whilst our supportive team will be eager to give you the opportunities to develop your portfolio further.

Although this is primarily an office based position, opportunities for hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate following a successful probation period, during which you will be brought fully up to speed with company standards and our ethos.
