A well-established travel provider, Barrhead Travel are growing and have over 50 branches across the UK. To maintain excellent customer service, they require a Business Development Apprentice to join their team. They are looking for a confident and professional individual with a desire to succeed.

You will work within the Business Management team learning everything there is to know about working in business development by fulfilling administrative tasks and get to work with exciting brands such as Jet2, Universal Orlando, Disney, Sandals Resorts, Las Vegas Tourism, Dubai Tourism.

Salary - £10.982 per annum
Working hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities (don't worry, full training will be provided):

  • Overall support role for Business Development
  • Weekly reports (for senior management team) on our competitors to help assess what others are doing in the industry and if we need to change our focus
  • Generate reports for key hotel partners to support for more marketing support & grow partnership
  • Work with the Business Development executives on pulling together in-depth reports on joint marketing campaigns to suppliers (this could range from a destination tourist board like Dubai to a world leading hotel chain like Iberostar)
  • Assist with department housekeeping and conference schedules which incorporates liaising with 3rd party suppliers
  • Attend internal meetings with product and marketing teams
  • Answer department phone calls and direct the caller to relevant BD or Product team member
  • Assist the team with raising sales orders to finance for invoices to be raised to supplier payments

A very exciting opportunity, you will eventually be introduced to supplier meetings, phone calls and engaging directly in negotiations on supplier marketing campaigns.
