Overview

Amas IT is a well-established IT and Software company based in East Wnd of Glasgow. With a strong 25-year history, the business supports a wide range of customers for cloud management, web development and on-premises hardware and infrastructure.

They are looking to give an apprentice the opportunity to learn the ropes of software and web development! You will be supported with your learning through QA’s Software and Web Development Modern Apprenticeship, access to online learning platform and mentorship from Amas IT’s colleagues.

  • Salary - £15,000 - £18,000 per annum
  • Working hours - Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting coding projects
  • Working on PHP, Javascript and HTML development projects
  • Integration with back-end servers
  • Participating in problem identification, requirement gathering and solution design.
  • Executing, editing and reporting against test cases and scripts
  • Testing and documentation
  • Recording and monitoring defects
  • Shadowing senior staff on client visits to gain familiarity with gathering client’s needs and creation of projects
