Accounts Assistant

Up to £33K DOE

We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a leading accountancy practice based in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic accountancy team and make a real impact to a thriving practice. Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts up to trial balance for a portfolio of clients
• Performing bank reconciliations and processing payments
• Producing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing CIS returns
• Liaising with clients & HMRC
• Supporting the team with accounts preparation
• Occasionally supporting the team with processing payroll
• Using accounting software's such as Xero, Sage & Quickbooks

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience working in a UK accountancy practice environment
• Accounting qualifications are desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
• Have experience with Xero & Quickbooks
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
