Role Overview & Responsibilities

Manager of wraparound care club both before and after school - 7am - 9am and 14:45 - 18:00pm.

Job Summary - Day to day management of the club. Provide quality play care within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.

Responsible for - Deputy/Activity Assistants/Volunteers/Children

Working relationships - Children attending the club and their parents or carers, management or proprietor and staff of school, students and volunteers, Childcare and Play organizations, school, registering authorities.

Main Duties:

* Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.

*Providing comprehensive care for children including collecting them from their classes, overseeing and delivering them safely to their parents/carers.

*Providing snacks and refreshments whilst ensuring hygiene, health and safety standards are met.

* Administering first aid when necessary .

*Setting up play space including moving equipment and furniture.

*Consulting children and involving them in the planning of activities.

* Providing support and supervision to play workers and other staff, including any volunteers.

*Holding regular staff meetings and conducting regular appraisals for staff.

*Administration and record keeping, including staff and child records, financial records, ordering and purchasing, and working within an agreed budget.

*Developing and maintaining good relationships with school, children and parents.

*Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.

*Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.

*Working within the framework of the clubs policies and procedures and the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Experience with 4-11 year olds, administration and working in a management/supervisory capacity are all essential. Must be able to understand the varied needs of children and families in order to deliver equal opportunities.

Appropriate level 3 qualification, child protection training, pediatric first aid and food hygiene certificate are all desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £13,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
