Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Chef who is ideally trained in Caribbean and African cuisine with a knowledge of world foods. You will be responsible to take charge of all evening food operations at Pineapple Xpress Ltd.

Pineapple Xpress is a vibrant restaurant based in the heart of Shoreditch.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Chef interested to be a part of a very vibrant and energetic team.

You will be responsible for the delivery of consistent, high quality and innovative dishes, manage all aspects of Health & Safety and food hygiene, budgeting, forecasting and stock management. Customer service is essential. Training will be provided.

As the Night Shift Chef, you will be responsible for all night time trade, motivate and develop a small team. You must be resilient, customer orientated, and have bundles of energy to drive and be an important part of a successful business.

SKILLS

If you have the following skills below then we definitely would like to hear from you:

• Previous experience as a Chef
• Passion and previous experience with Caribbean or African cuisine
• Worked night shifts before
• A unique and creative approach to your work with excellent presentation skills;
• Proven ability to manage a kitchen team, including team leadership, enthusiasm, development and performance management;
• Strength in stock and margin controls, knowledge of exotic suppliers (beneficial);
• Good knowledge of health and safety compliance and procedures.

Salary: From £10.00 per hour
