Role Overview & Responsibilities

An award-winning Pension Specialist, currently requires an experienced Pension Administrator to provide a comprehensive administration service to customer and advisors. You will have experience in administering a SIPP or SSAS schemes, this is essential, and you will ideally hold professional qualifications, although this is not essential as it offers full exam support.

SIPP / SSAS Administrator Position

Undertake all aspects of administration of a portfolio of SSAS and/or SIPP clients. Working in a team under the guidance of a team leader the SIPP Manager and Senior Managers and Directors tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor own workflow and prioritisation of outstanding work.
  • Maintain a full and efficient diary system.
  • Assist other team members and cover for absence of other administration staff where required.
  • Communicating with clients, financial advisors, solicitors, accountants, H M Revenue & Customs, fund managers, insurance companies and other professional connections by letter, telephone, e-mail, and fax.
  • Occasional attendance at client meetings with a senior colleague where required.
  • Legislative Requirements & Compliance
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of current pension legislation.
  • Scheme Records & I.T. Systems
  • Establishment of new schemes
  • Takeover of Scheme From Another Trustee/Administrator (SSAS)
  • Payment of Adviser Fees
  • Maintain and update records on OMNI.
  • Contributions and tax refunds
  • Purchase and sale of assets
  • Property Purchase
  • Loan backs (SSAS) and Third-party Loans
  • Illustrations and Valuations
  • Transfers In - Protected rights and non-protected rights
  • Transfers Out - Protected rights and non-protected rights.
  • Share of Fund calculations and records (Group SIPP & SSAS)
  • Retirement benefit calculations
