Digital Print Operative Flexible Vacancy (Two shifts)

Responsible to: Production Duty Manager

Responsible for: No current Line Management responsibilities or direct reports

Hours: 37 hours per week to suit the needs of the business. Double Day Shift (early and late shifts)

05.30 - 13.30 (Mon to Thurs)
05.30 - 10.30 (Fri)
Late
13.30 - 21.30 (Mon to Thurs)
10.30 - 15.30 (Fri)

Set- up and run the digital printing equipment (and other equipment as required) using a minimum amount of waste to produce the highest quality product as efficiently as the job and machinery will permit. You will be required to monitor and minimise downtime whilst also improving running speeds.

Ensure all work is correctly labelled and properly presented to the next colleague in the work flow, providing any relevant notes or additional information required for them to effectively carry our their duties

Computer literate and willingness to learn the trade would be advantageous.

Communicate any changes over and above that detailed on the job bag to the Production Shift Manager

Role Overview: You will be the operator of our digital press equipment producing short to medium run high quality products within the Page Bros Production Department. Full training will be given.

You will be responsible for ensuring jobs are printed within set deadlines maintaining the company’s quality control procedures, identifying any non-conforming goods, monitoring and maintaining the machine’s condition to provide optimal uptime and keeping your work area clean and tidy.

You will be able to work methodically and have excellent problem solving skills. In time and with appropriate development and training, become the 'go-to person' to train and advise others in your specialist knowledge.
