Assistant Producer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
GB News are looking for an AP or Jnr Producer to work on our weekly news-based comedy panel show. We want someone who is organised, with good writing skills and great ideas. A background in comedy or entertainment would be good but not essential. This studio-based show will be filmed in central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Write up briefing pack for writers
- Write up briefing packs for teams
- Source best news stories
- Brief host, team captains and guest contributors
- Shoot or organise extra footage to go in the rounds
- Cut or edit produce any VTs or source them from library
- Oversee and brief researcher
Ideal Candidate
Good writing skills
Experience of working in comedy entertainment or entertainment
Experience of working on quiz or panel shows ideal but not essential
Good awareness of news and pop culture
Good attention to detail
Self-shooter would be a plus but not essential
Basic Premiere Pro skills but not essential
