Kennel Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a 5 star luxury boarding kennels in the heart of the countryside. We run a team of hard working individuals and are looking to add to our success.

Duties include;

• Walking/exercising dogs of all shapes and sizes, in all weather conditions.
• Caring for dogs general health and well-being
• Recording information accurately
• Cleaning kennels to an extremely High standard, following a strict routine.
• General cleaning maintaining site hygiene standards.

Essential skills;

• Competent with the handling of all dogs
• Must have the ability to use own initiative
• Must be physically fit
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Comfortable working alone or in a fast paced team

Personal Qualities;

• Reliable and good timekeeper
• Flexible
• Hardworking and enthusiastic

Desirable

• Previous experience working with animals

Shifts/hours;

• 7 day rota issued weekly
• Must be available weekends and school holidays
• Split shifts, approximate working hours; 7.30am-10.30am and 2.30pm- 5.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 0-30 per week

Salary: £6.50-£11.00 per hour
