Therapy Assistant Practitioner-Peterborough

Due to the retirement of a longstanding staff member we are looking for a part time (22.5 hours per week) Band 4 Therapy Assistant Practitioner to work in the stroke therapy team at Peterborough Hospital supported by qualified Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff. Whilst primarily based at Peterborough Hospital this role may involve occasional work with the stroke therapy team at Hinchingbrooke, so an ability to travel between sites is essential.Our stroke therapy team is made of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and support workers who assess and treat people in the hyperacute and acute stroke units at Peterborough Hospital and in stroke rehabilitation beds at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. This is a fast pace and exciting role working to support stroke survivors who present with a wide range of physical, cognitive, communication and psychological changes following their stroke. The role will support with aspects of a persons assessment, rehabilitation and discharge from hospital.
