Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Golden Jubilee University National Hospital is the National Waiting Times Centre for Elective Orthopaedic Surgery. It is also the West of Scotland Heart and Lung Centre.

The successful candidate will join our dynamic orthopaedic rehabilitation team of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, predominantly working with the Physiotherapists and will be enthusiastic and committed with excellent people skills. With teaching and instruction from the therapists the post holder will be assisting in the delivery of patient care and in the rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients and will be responsible for ensuring equipment and environments are fit for purpose.

To help support our seven day service, the successful applicant will be expected to have a flexible approach to working hours and availability across seven days.

Applicants must have good communication skills and the ability to work independently and with supervision. A formal qualification (HNC / SVQ 3) and computer literacy is a requirement of the post. A background in Healthcare is preferable.
