This post should appeal to a radiographer or radiography graduate who would like to work in a busy Radiology department as part of a friendly, close knit team.

The post involves working on rotation in CT and general radiography including fluoroscopy, dental and theatre radiography. The department also provides a symptomatic mammography service and there are opportunities for radiographers to train in this speciality also.

If the successful candidate is appointed at Band 5 level, they will be expected to achieve predetermined standards and will become eligible for band 6 status after a period of between 12 months and 24 months depending on progress.

The department operates 24/7, and this post will include participation in the out of hours shift system, undertaking both general Radiography and CT. The shifts include 12 hour day shifts, 10 hour back shifts and 12 hour night shifts.

Hours of work are: 37.5 average over a 16 week roster
