About the role

We have a unique and exciting opportunity available for an experienced Commercial or Personal Lines Underwriter to join as a Process Improvement Underwriter. As a subject matter expert, you will lead and embed process and procedural improvements within Underwriting whilst encouraging a continuous improvement culture within our Operational Service Centres. You will facilitate local changes and will ensure business readiness for larger change initiatives.


Applying independent Underwriting expertise and judgement, you will work closely with the Operational Underwriting teams to recommend and deliver activity that will continually improve the Underwriting knowledge and capability of the business and improve customer experience and the effective management of insurance risk cost across our GI product range.


The role can be based from any of our Regional Centres, however you will need to be prepared to travel to Head Office in Stratford upon Avon occasionally. We also offer an informal homeworking policy which will allow you to work from home 80% of the time.

About you

You will be a proactive and self-motivated professional with a Commercial or Personal Lines Underwriting background, partnered with a passion for driving change and improvements and will have had exposure to a variety of change initiatives / projects.


It is essential that you are able to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, as this role requires you to engage with a variety of stakeholders and getting people to work collaboratively together. You will also need to have the confidence and ability to challenge and influence where necessary.
