SEO Content Writer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We’re looking for a talented SEO Content Writer that is looking to combine their passion for writing and sports. This is an ideal opportunity for someone that is looking to kickstart a career in content writing/digital marketing or for someone who has SEO content experience and is looking to branch out into the world of sports content.

THE ROLE:

As SEO Content Writer your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Conducting research on article topics using SEO keyword tools to create targeted content that will drive new visitors to the Net World Sports websites.
• Producing optimised, in-depth buyers guides on all things relating to our products that will deliver the best possible organic search rankings whilst also meeting our customers’ needs
• Adding written content to our Content Management System (Magento 2)
• Producing content for the Net World Sports blog, covering a wide range of topics that the business is keen to cover and promote.Reporting on the success of written content, analysing data to identify opportunities to make improvements to content.
• Competitor analysis to identify additional content opportunities.
• Optimise pages on the website to help improve Net World Sports’ organic presence in Google and other search engines.
• Work closely with other teams within the business including Content, Design, Marketing, Development, Product, Sales and Customer Services to drive improvements.
• Produce monthly and ad-hoc reports using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools.
• Keep up to date with latest SEO/SEM updates and industry changes that could impact our approach to content.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SHOW US:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (Creative Writing, English, Journalism or Marketing)
• A passion for written content and natural flair for creating engaging copy
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering results
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data.
• Proactive and results driven, with the ability to pick things up quickly.
• Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships.
• An understanding of SEO content best practices
• Knowledge of Net World Sports’ product range
• A keen interest in sports
• Experience using tools including Google Analytics, Search Console and/or SEM Rush
• Experience using Magento 2.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - we offer flexible working hours which can be discussed in the interview (Example)

This role is based in our Wrexham office, full-time. We're unable to offer remote-working and require a quick start so we're unable to consider applications outside of the UK.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
