General Machinist

Location: South Devon

Job Description:
General Machinist (Engineering) reporting to the Machine Shop Manager.

Main Duties:

• Manufacturing of machined components on manual Lathes and Milling machines according to engineering drawings.
• Use of measuring equipment.
• To assist in other areas as required.

Candidate Skills and Requirements:

• Previous experience in machining/manufacturing an advantage but not essential for the right applicant.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail whilst displaying a can-do attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work well as part of a team.

Location/Hours: South Devon. Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dartmouth, Devon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Machinist: 1 year (preferred)
