Fire Door Inspector

MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for a Fire Door Inspector to join a Public Sector Housing organisation covering an area of South London.

Title: Fire Door Inspector
Salary: £250p/d LTD neg.
Client: Public Sector Housing Provider
Contract: Interim (Day rate - Inside IR35).

As a Fire Door Inspector, you will:

• Complete fire door surveys, taking intrusive measurements in readiness for a replacement door set to be ordered.
• Produce reports, and offer advice and recommendations on whether a door can be replaced or what type of repairs are needed to bring the doors up to
• standard.
• Preferably have a good understanding of BS 476 and associated standards for fire resistance testing
• Be able to identify that the frame specification is correct for the door's rating
• Be able to ensure that the choice of Frame/lining/casing and intumescent smoke seals are compatible
• Have a good working knowledge of current Health & Safety and other relevant legislation.
• Liaise with tenants well and represent the organisation.
