Food and Safety Consultant-Auditor with experience in BRC or SALSA

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable Internal Food and Safety Consultant with experience in food manufacturing and auditing dealing with BRC or SALSA and their in and outs of their processing to join our sausage, saveloys and burgers manufacturing company in North London.

Please note that we will only consider applicants that can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years prior experience as Food and Safety Consultant dealing with BRC and SALSA.

The roll:

-Ensuring the factory complies with the BRC or Salsa Regulations.

-Ensuring the factory complies with legal requirements.

-Implement and monitor quality systems.

-Ensure that all products leaving the site are of the highest quality.

- Conduct food safety, brand standards and workplace health and safety evaluations

-Conduct audit closure meetings and agree the findings with the relevant managers.

- Contribute to the development of the audit programme, approach, techniques and reporting standards.

- Prepare detailed audit reports, including recommendations to improve standards of control.

- Complete allocated internal audits and provide support for any non-conformances identified to ensure close out within allocated time frame

- Coordinate hygiene meeting and liaise with relevant areas to reduce micro failures.

- Engender effective communication within the Company, to add value, contributing to the Company's objectives.

Skills and Experience:

-Food safety certifications preferred, such as HACCP,ISO22000, BRC or Salsa credentials

- Working knowledge of BRC or Salsa standards and Food Legislation (desirable)

-Good interpersonal skills – with the ability to build strong and credible cross functional relationships

-Strong influential skills

-Good time management – with the ability to multitask and priorities workload to meet deadlines

Salary:

£25/hour

Salary: £23.00-£25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus
• Yearly bonus

• London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
