Materials & Logistics Planner – The Company

Our client is an established and leading precision engineering business with the ability to provide a complete turnkey solution for customers’ complex manufacturing challenges. With some of the most comprehensive facilities and accreditations, they supply high-reliability industries across the UK, including aerospace, defence, energy and automotive industry sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Materials & Logistics Planner to be based in their West Midlands manufacturing facility.

Materials & Logistics Planner – The Benefits

Materials & Logistics Planner – Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Materials & Logistics Planning / Scheduling
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working within an aerospace manufacturing environment, with an in depth understanding of the AS9100 Accreditation
  • Previous Supplier Performance Management
  • Experienced in handling and managing OTIF customer queries
  • Previous experience of using MRP / ERP systems
  • Excellent Excel skills including an in-depth understanding of V-Look Up, Pivot Tables etc.
  • Experience of customer interface portals
Materials & Logistics Planner - Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Aerospace business team in the achievement of business objectives and KPI’s
  • Ensure optimal loading of the plant, optimising available equipment resource and capacity to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery
  • Optimise available material resource and capacity
  • Procurement of Raw materials and sub-tier services in a timely manner to support and fulfil the order schedule in full
  • Take a lead in developing material planning through operations strategy
