Role Overview & Responsibilities
About the Project:
We are looking to appoint an experienced site manager to oversee the construction of our new build, detached dwelling in Winchester. The project is currently underway having recently completed the groundworks.
We are looking to appoint an experienced site manager to oversee the construction of our new build, 4 storey (including basement and indoor swimming pool) house in Guildford. Project currently underway.
Candidate Requirements:
- Valid SMSTS Certificate
- Valid First Aid at Work Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years construction experience.
- Site Management experience (3 years preferred).
Candidate Skills:
- Knowledge of building and construction
- Excellent time management and leadership skills
- Experience working on new build projects
- Experience in the management of Health and Safety
- Verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills such as emails, Word, Excel, PDF etc.
- Good initiative and logical thinking skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of site operatives.
- Ensuring the work is being done to specifications and on time.
- Carry out and record site inspections.
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
- Conduct toolbox talks/briefings.
- Keep line managers informed of issues on site.
- Ensure site operatives complete all required documentation.
- Track and document daily work productions.
- Coordinate delivery / pick up of materials as required.
- Take full charge of the health and safety of the site.
- Supervising construction workers.
- Monitoring project progress.
- Conducting quality and safety inspections.
- Checking and preparing site reports.
- Maintaining quality control checks.
- Day-to-day problem-solving and dealing with any issues that arise.
- Carrying out other ad-hoc duties assigned by directors.
Future work opportunities available beyond the scope of this project.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months
Salary: £250.00-£300.00 per day
