Finance Analyst

Swavesey, Cambridge
£38,000 per annum

Z-Tech is a fast growing, up-beat lively organisation with offices in Cambridge and London. As an innovative company we deliver high-quality services to our customers in the Energy, Water and Rail industries, We are looking for a full time Finance Analyst to play an integral part in the smooth running of a finance operation in a growing business.

Duties will include
  • Analysing current and past financial data
  • Providing analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to management
  • Analysing the current financial performance and identifying trends
  • Preparing reports on the above information and communicating the insights of these reports to the wider business
  • Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
  • Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information
  • Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
  • Developing initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Monitoring purchases and purchase orders
  • Processing customer sales orders.
  • Raising invoices.
  • Assisting managers with invoicing requests.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • AAT level 4, ACCA or CIMA qualifications (preferable)
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns
  • Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting and business environments
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work to, and provide input to improve processes.
  • Excellent time management ability
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Interpersonal and communication skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Excellent customer (internal and external) service approach.
  • Good communication and reasoning skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to respond to unforeseen events and act promptly.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
