Line Leader- Cheese Packing

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Line Leader 38 hrs pw, 4 day week, typically Wed-Sat

We are looking for a Line Leader to join our Packing team who has an eye for detail, commitment to quality, and the drive to deliver the best cheese to our customers – exceptional cheese, on time, every time.

Shifts are Weds - Sat, typically between 6am -4pm however flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

· Leading operatives on a production line, wrapping whole and portioned cheeses.

· Working with the Supervisor to optimise cheese yields, minimising waste and giveaway.

· Maintain full traceability of products through the packing and despatch process; accurately complete associated administration, ensuring all products are appropriately labelled to specified requirements.

· Working safely and following Company Health and Safety policies and work instructions.

· Assisting the Supervisor in the training of Packing Operatives.

· Operation of Packing Machines, ensuring work areas and equipment are cleaned as per the cleaning schedule.

Successful candidates will need to demonstrate the following:

· Able to give clear, defined instructions.

· Able to work at a fast pace without compromising quality or safety.

· Understand and apply the required standards of food hygiene, traceability and safety.

· Understand and apply safe working practices.

· Ability to read, write and speak good English, including numerical information.

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

· Food Hygiene Level 2 (training provided).

· HACCP Level 2 (training provided).

· COSHH (training provided).

- Own transport required.
