Role Overview & Responsibilities

1. JOB PURPOSE

To support the Practice and GPs by implementing document management optimisation protocols for all documentation coming into the Practice. Provide support to the Reception team when required.

2. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately read all patient related communications, ensuring they relate to the correct registered patient. Those not related to a registered patient are returned to the originator in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Identify and record relevant information

· Action workflow documents as part of the coding team where necessary according to Clinical Workflow Protocols.

· Complete data collection and audits to help understand data

· Dedicated member of the Workflow Team to ensure work is kept up to date.

· Raise any backlogs or issues with the management team in a timely manner.

· Work in a flexible way to help meet the needs of the practice

· General use of the intranet, email, word applications excel spreadsheets.

· Attend relevant meetings as directed

· Manage own workload effectively

· To work in accordance of written protocols

· Administrative support to the practice

· Ensure processes are followed and maintained at all times

· There may be an opportunity to be involved in other areas of the business/team

· To report any significant events that occur in relation to document management and participate in any associated learning from incidents

· To provide Reception cover in times of staff shortage as requested by the Practice Manager/Deputy Practice Manager

· To attend any training required to maintain effective performance in this role

· Any other duties as requested by the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager or Partners that are deemed to be reasonable and within the capabilities of the postholder

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £10.42 per hour
