Recruiting for part time evening and weekend staff for the restaurants at UHCW

ISS in the UK provides high quality facility services designed to maintain the fabric and appearance of buildings. ISS provides facilities management; cleaning & hygiene services; maintenance and building services; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors.

As a retail Assistant you will work in any one of our Retail Outlets based at the University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire. The role includes the following :

• Assist Chefs with the preparation and presentation of dishes and buffets in readiness of service times.
• Serve meals and beverages to customers in a polite and courteous manner, whilst maintaining portion control.
• To carry out all tasks with due regard to the contract specification and all legislation including Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene.
• To ensure correct materials, equipment and methods are used at all times and equipment is kept clean and in good working order. Report faulty machinery/ equipment immediately.
• Reconcile customer purchases using electronic till and process payments by cash or card.
• Monitor and record temperatures of prepared food in line with food hygiene legislation.
• Monitor and re-stock pre-packed food and beverage points.
• Clean and re-stock food and beverage vending machines.
• Clear tables of used crockery and cutlery and the make tables ready for use by other customers.
• Assist with the washing and cleaning of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and equipment.
• Complete routine cleaning of customer, food serving and food preparation areas of the retail outlets to maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Empty waste bins within retail outlets and remove sacks of waste to collection points

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: £9.90 per hour

Day range:

• Weekends only

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Food preparation: 1 year (required)
• Customer service: 1 year (required)
