Role Overview & Responsibilities

CONTEXT:

Within the UK, ISS provides cleaning and other facilities services to customers through several semiautonomous Operating Companies, each focused on particular market segments. For the purposes of high-level management and strategic support, Ongoing companies are grouped based on their principal base covering the Private and Public sectors. ISS Transport is within the public sector and is supported by the Sector's head office providing support and direction on policy and best practice in the areas of finance, human resources, and marketing.

YOUR ROLE:

Your role as Operative will be to comply with all operational standards as directed by your line manager to ensure that quality standards are always achieved, controlling the use of consumables and cleaning materials to ensure maximum productivity as well as adhering to COSHH and Health & Safety requirements. To act in a manner that always enhances the professional image and reputation of ISS Transport.

The shift pattern for this role is 10pm-5am.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To carry out all duties as allocated by your line manager, conducting them to always ensure the achievement of high-quality standards.

- To comply with all Health and Safety requirements as stated by current health & Safety legislation and company guidelines.

- To conduct Health & Safety checks on all equipment issued prior to using it and reporting any defects to your line manager immediately and taking the appropriate steps to ensure that no one uses the equipment.

- To ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment and safety precautions are taken when undertaking any duties.

- Correct use and storage of all equipment to include chemicals and materials and that all equipment is kept clean and in good repair.

- The ability to attend and adhere to toolbox training as directed by line management.

- All other Health & Safety responsibilities and Accountabilities are cross held referenced in the Health & Safety and Environmental Plan, Section 4, copies at the Regional Operating Head Office.

KEY PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- A level of understanding of work methods and quality standards

- A high level of flexibility and an understanding for the need to react to change.

- Understanding of client and customer requests and the ability to demonstrate what action is required on receiving requests and/or complaints

- Ability to communicate both orally and in the written context.

- The ability to take and carry out written and oral instruction.
