Role Overview & Responsibilities
Junior Cybersecurity Analyst – Blandford Forum - £25,000 to £30,000 + Shift Allowance
We are on the hunt for a number of Junior Cybersecurity Analysts to join a key client of ours based in South Dorset, you’ll be working as part of a growing team of professionals within a supportive and technically interesting company.

The SOC operates on a shift working basis, 4 days on 4 days off, alternating between early, late and night shifts one after another. I.E, 4 day shifts then 4 evening shifts, then 4 night shifts and so on.
Requirements of the Role:
· A passion for cybersecurity and an interest in IT
· Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security
· An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them
· Working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· An understanding of platforms such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Splunk
· Ability to achieve and hold Active Security Clearance
Responsibilities:
· Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts to identify incidents and perform analysis of security event data to support a response, reporting or escalation where necessary
· Carry out proactive threat hunting
· Support the design and development of automated monitoring processes
· Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
· Evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to detect/manage them.
· Generate reports for both technical and non-technical staff
· An ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats
