Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for bright and conscientious individuals to join our Morningside Cheesemongers on a Full Time basis. The ideal candidate must have a genuine love for customer service, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. For the right individual this position has the opportunity for personal growth within a growing and successful family business of 30 years. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!

Your duties will include:

• Cutting and wrapping cheese
• Sales and recommendations
• Providing a premium service to our loyal customers
• Tasting, checking and overall cheese care
• General cleaning and other tasks set by the Store Manager
• Food preparation and service in our small 20 cover wine bar

To be considered for this position you must have the following qualities:

• Be willing to work weekends
• Be willing to work over the festive period (December)
• Experience in retail or customer facing roles
• A genuine passion for retail and food alike
• Exceptional communication skills and confidence
• Lover of cheese
• No previous cheese knowledge is required however it helps

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Retail sales: 1 year (required)
• Hospitality: 1 year (required)
